8. A moment you felt most satisfied in your life.
The day I married my husband. I had finally found the man I had always pictured in my head and found someone that ended up being the greatest thing to happen to me and my daughter :)
Welcome To My Blog Page!!
I want this to be a place where I can keep family and friends better updated on what me and my family is up to on a day to day basis or even a week to week basis. I hope you all can come back and check my blog every now and again and be able to better know what's going on in my life even if I don't get to see you all that often. It's not perfect but it's a start and great way to keep in contact and up to date. Hope you all enjoy my blog!!

Day 6
6. Zodiac Sign and Does It Fit? (The red color is my thoughts on the different areas of being a scorpio.)
Scorpio
Your element: Water
Your ruling planets: Pluto
Symbol: The Scorpion
Your stone: Topaz
Life Pursuit: To survive against all opposition (I would say I'm a survivor, I've come back thru alot of things in my life, the most semi-recent was my husbands deployment in 07-08.)
Vibration: Resilient (Definately resilent, sometimes it takes me awhile but I've never been one to regress backwards.)
Scorpio's Secret Desire: To triumph (For sure, I try to come out on top with anything I do, sometimes I fail but from that I learn.)
Description:
Reputed to be the "most powerful" sign of the zodiac, Scorpios lead fate filled lives and have intense and dramatic personal relationships. Even as children Scorpios are often found to be wise beyond their years. Many astrologers call this the sign of the "oldest souls". Old and wise beyond the average, Scorpios often know all the answers, except sometimes; they too often have difficulty finding what they need to develop their own happiness. (I am by no means wise, never thought about myself as older then my years and I definately don't know all the answers lol. Difficulty developing my own happiness, definately. I find it hard to decide on what I know will make my happy. Only thing that I didn't have a hard time deciding on was marrying my husband.)
Passion, desire and power go hand in hand for Scorpios. Their biggest challenge and test in life is choosing between the power of love and the love of power. Coming to grips with their extraordinary emotional depths and sensitivity isn't easy for those around them. They are different from all other zodiac signs and this difference has them walking, working and loving to a different beat. Others can often live with a Scorpio partner for years, but not really know them. Much to do with a Scorpio remains ever secret. Their eyes often blaze with feelings that words never express, and beware on the days or nights they hide their feelings behind dark glasses, there is likely to be a storm of some kind brewing. When you deal with a Scorpio you have to always deal with them on a psychic intuitive level. They often wear a mask. Too often they say "no" when they really mean "yes". They have contrary natures. Once they find true love they can be the most faithful dedicated of all partners but fall out badly with a Scorpio and you are likely to find they will never forget or forgive. (This actually fits me pretty good. I'm a very emotional person, not to the point where I cry over everything but things do get to me on a higher level then most around me. There is often times where my husband will be trying to find out what's wrong with me when he knows I'm upset cause he can see it written in my face, it'll take me awhile to talk but when I do it usually comes pouring out cause I tend to harbor things.)
Most Scorpios are winners. The main thing they have to worry about is their attitudes, which make up their mind powers and can either make or break them. When they are negative about something or someone, or critical of themselves, they can tend to get in their own way. (This is me to a "T" lol. I do tend to have an attitude especially when I think and know I'm right and people argue with me about it. I can also have a negative attitude sometimes when things aren't looking the way I want them too. I'm trying really hard to change this. I am also very, very, very critical of myself. I'm my own worst critic at times.)
Scorpios operate on three levels of soul evolvement; adding up to three distinctively different types of Scorpios. The first level is the Scorpion. This is the least evolved and most drawn toward using their powers the wrong way. The criminal element of Scorpio comes under this level. Then there is the eagle - the highflying, entrepreneurial, successful Scorpio, who seems able to rise above adversity and transform bad-times into good. Then the highest expression of this sign is the Phoenix Resurrected. These Scorpios are detached and extremely powerful. They are wise beyond their years and act as leaders and are an inspiration to others. Quite frequently a Scorpio goes through the three levels of evolvement in one lifetime - but the levels can operate out of sequence. (Don't think I fall into any of the these levels of scorpios. I'm not a criminal, not really entrepreneurial. I do like to take bad times and make them into good times, my husband has helped me with that. Detached is definately something I am, but I've worked on that alot since I married my husband.)

5 Question Friday
1. What's your favorite way to spend down time (alone or
with a significant other)?
My favorite down time activity is definately cross stitching.
2. Are you the kind of person that
wants things more as soon as you know you can't have it?
No not really. I don't really worry about things I can't have, what's the point really. I just concentrate on ways I can obtain things I can have.
3. If you were given $1000 to spend
on yourself, what would you buy?
I would like to buy a external hard drive to save my photos on. I would get the tattoo I want in memory of my Grandpa Harvey. I would then buy the camera that I want. And with the remaining I would buy some new clothes.
4. Do you ever go out to eat by
yourself?
Nope never have and don't really want to, doesn't sound like something I would enjoy. I'd rather eat and have a good conversation.
5. What company would you want to
do a blog review for?
Wouldn't want to really.
Day 4
4. Views on Religion
I am by no means religious. I really don't think I believe in God one way or the other. I don't get into religious conversations ever because I just don't really see or believe what religious people would like me to believe. Do I think theres something bigger then us...yes...but what that is I'm not sure. I don't think I need to put a label on it. I don't need some million dollar expensive building to go pray in. And I don't like it one bit when someone tries to push their beliefs on me. If I wanted to believe in one God or someone's elses God then I would have by now. People will ask me, "what about the afterlife or where your soul goes after you die?" Honestly, when I die, I die. I don't really believe in some big mystical afterlife or rebirth or whatever. So yah that's pretty much my views. Some people may not like it and that's fine but it's my views and my right to feel this way.

Day 2
2. Where would I like to be in 10 years
Exactly a pretty easy answer to that one, although a bit detailed lol.
We would love to be home owners, hopefully in the next year or two. I'm hoping to own a house in Colorado about 20 miles or so outside of Colorado Springs in Woodland Park. I would love for our house to be on about 5 acres of land, maybe 10. Own a horse or two, some pigmy goats, some chickens, maybe get Jack a new playmate. I would also love to finish my Bachelor's Degree in Medical Administration and get certified as a Pharmacy Tech and would love to get a career started in the medical field. I would also love to get some semblance of resemblance to my pre-marriage body. When I met my husband I was in so much better shape. I think all these are fairly obtainable so I don't see why in 10 years that I won't have all this and more :)

Day 1 of Blog Challenge
Day 1: Current Relationship
I am married to a totally awesome man. His name is Earl but everyone calls him Trapper or Trap. Our 6th Anniversary will be on July 31st and in all the time we've been married I have never once called him Earl lol. He is by far the greatest man I know (along with my dad of course lol). We're opposites in so many ways but in ways that compliment each other and keep each other on their toes and it keeps things interesting. He's a very forth coming personality, he will tell you exactly what he thinks without any hesitation what so ever. He's stubborn, funny, a bit cocky at times, generous, beyong extremely smart (I call him my walking book of knowledge). He's a great dad and is about to be a new dad May 25th and this time he gets a little boy. I always tell him that I married him because he can be an asshole but he nevers crosses that line but in all reality I married him because of that and because of all the reasons above and so much more then I could ever list. He's medically retired from the Army after 11 years of service. He got injured while deployed to Iraq in 07 and 08. He's about 90% disable, can't tell by looking at him, it's all internal. He hardly ever complains and is actually doing quite well compared to 2 years ago. You couldn't find a more proud wife then me :) He is also a fantastic cook, he has way more culintary skills then the average person lol. He's helped me become a better person. I'm more open then I used to be, not quite as shy and he's taught me to stick up for myself instead of being a door mat. I could keep going on about my husband believe me but you get the drift I think :)

Me and Trap shortly before we got married in 2006.
Trapper laughing at me on the ferris wheel last summer cause I looked over the edge and freaked myself out and grabbed for that metal bar in the middle of the seats lol.
Went fishing at Sheridan Pond and he managed to catch a fish with my brand spankin new pink fishing pole lol.
This was taken this past Christmas, Kayleen put her scarf on dad and he lets me take silly photos of him so yah lol.
He was teaching Kenzie how to throw a baseball, she's actually pretty good when she actually tries lol.
Went out to a bar for a past co-workers birthday, he's the one with the belly showing and then my husband decided he would go around dancing with everyone, luckily I bring my camera everywhere I go lol

Listable Life Challenge
I got this idea from another blogger and I think I will do this weekly. I think the way I'm going to do this may be slightly different then how the other blogger does her (which her link is on my side bar, Listable Life). I'm just going to do the 3 subjects listed under each week like every other day until the next week starts. I think it'll be fun. Then on the days I don't have these subjects I'll blog about something else or find another challenge lol. I do believe Blogging has become my newest addiction, right along side Pinterest lol.

Day 30 I made it!!!!
Day 30: a picture of yourself this day and 5
good things that happened since you started the challenge:
This wasn't taken today but it was taken just under a week ago when my brother in law got promoted to E7. From left to right: Myself, my husband Trapper, my brother in law Jason, my sister in law Lynn, my nephew Kyle (Jason's son) and my oldest daughter in the front MacKenzie (who I realized is almost as tall as I am and she's only 10 lol)
5 Good things that happened to me since I started this:
1. I haven't gained that much weight since becoming pregnant, just a fairly normal amount.
2. I started taking photos again (I had quit right after my daughters dog was killed in Nov.)
3. I got a Kindle Fire for Christmas that got me to reading a lot more.
4. I started a cross stitch and am almost half way done with it which isn't normal for me, I usually take a year to finish one.
5. I realized that I need to call my family more seeing as most of them live in Minnesota.
And that looks like it's the end of my 30 Day Challenge. I'm going to go hunt for another one. I do enjoy blogging everyday but my life isn't exciting every single day so finding challenges keeps me blogging and gets me thinking and helps me to write more on here. It's almost therapeutic and relaxing so I'd need to keep this up lol.

Day 29
Day 29: 3 Wishes
I wish that we we're in our own house (it'll happen soon but not soon enough).
I wish for our baby to be as healthly as he can be when he's born and throughout his whole life.
And I wish I could visit all my family that have yet to meet my husband or my step-daughters.

Sad Day
Found out my favorite Grandpa died today. He had pneumonia twice this month and just didn't have it in him to fight this time. He was in his early 80s so it's not like he didn't live a long life, I just wish I could have seen him more, that he could have gotten to know Trapper better and that he could have met Jace. He told some of the greatest stories I've ever heard. He was the reason I went into the military. When they had decided to move to Montana when I was 16, me and my cousin Micheal went with them and spent 2 weeks with them, then I went again to visit them the next summer. When I was 19 and I got out of the Air Force I went to live with them for awhile. My grandpa was a great man, he will be very much missed. I'm so glad that I have one photo of me, Grandma and Grandpa together the day I turned 21. I hope he knew that I loved him and he was and will always be one of my favorite people.
Day 28
Day 28: Something that stresses you
out
A few things lately. One, being finances, not being able to save enough to move out of my mother in laws before the baby arrives. Hoping taxes is enough. Also stressing about the fact that we don't have any baby stuff yet, mostly cause we can't save very much. Trapper tells me not to worry that we'll get everything he needs before he arrives and I'm really trying. And as of yesterday I'm really stressed and worried about my Grandma that lives in Montana. I found out my Grandpa is in the hospital, has been since Monday. He's had pneomonia twice this past month and she's not sure he'll make it this time. He has a tube down his throat last time I heard. The one saving grace is I know she has alot of family coming to be with her right now so I know atleast someone is watching out for her. I just wish I could be there right now.

Day 27
Day 27: Original Photo of the city you live
in
Dallas, Oregon - I don't have a photo of the tiny city itself but of the city park & a park we used to live by because I go there alot walking my dog and taking my kids to the park and it's beautiful on the really nice days so I'll post those. It's very rare for me to be able to show just one photo, I'm very proud of the photos I take and I love sharing those with people.

Day 26
Day 26: Your Dream Wedding
On a beach or next to a lake, a white and red colored dress, all the girls in little red dresses and immediate family attending only. I don't want anything major or huge or extravagant, just something simple and intimate to renew our vows since we didn't really get to have the wedding we wanted.

5 Question Friday
1. How often do you
shave your legs in the winter?
Honestly, maybe once a week, sometimes twice.

2. Valentine's Day cards for your
spouse: funny or romantic?
I tend to go for the funny ones, I'll do sappy ones randomly thru out the year.
3. What are you most looking
forward to about spring?
FISHING!!!! We absolutely love fishing and can not wait get our license again. Soon as we get our taxes we're getting our license and a few fishing supplies and off we go :)
4. What's your favorite way to
pamper yourself?
I love to grab a coffee from Dutch Brothers and go somewhere really beautiful and take photos, sounds silly to some but if you knew me you'd understand me and my camera lol.
5. Does your tax return go into
savings or do you spend it instantly?
We don't spend it instantly, over time..yes. We save some as long as we can, keep a good nest egg for awhile but this year we have a baby to prepare for so it's gonna be gone pretty fast, also need to move out of my mother-in-law's house asap.

There's many more I love listening to but that would be one long list, save that for another day lol

Day 24
Day 24: Something you've learned
I've learned that when it rains it pours. Not gonna get into specifics but life just hasn't been easy the past few months and I just wish we could catch a damn break. I'm not sure what lesson we're supposed to be learning right now but it's kicking my ass. Starting to slip into a slump right now and I'm not sure how to get out of it. I'm trying to be a more positive person this year but honestly it's really proving to be the hugest challenge I've had to face yet.

Photography...My Favs
These are a bunch of my fav photos I've taken and am very proud of. I take my camera everywhere with me even if I'm only going to the grocery store and believe me I get crap for it all the time but you never know what you'll find just driving across town lol.
Day 21
Day 21: Favorite Picture of yourself ALL TIME Why?
This is me and my now daughter MacKenzie, she was about 3 years old in this. I took this pic myself. Actually caught a very natural and cute photo of me and my daughter back in my slightly younger days lol. Not sure really why it's my favorite but some photos just stand out and you constantly go back to just look at it cause you absolutely love it.

Day 20
Day 20: Nicknames
I don't really have any nicknames anymore. When I was in the Air Force at 19 years old I had the nickname Cookie or Minnesota (thats where I grew up). Growing up I did have an aunt that called me bird, so did my dad. That's about it. My husband has a nickname that he's been called his whole life. His real name is Earl but he has an aunt that had a crush on Trapper John from MASH so my hubby's nickname since he was born has been Trapper so people usually call him Trapper or Trap. We've been married 6 years in July and I never have called him Earl lol.

Day 19
Day 19: Something you miss
Two things I really miss.
One: I miss my family in Minnesota. It's been about 4 years, going on 5 since I've been back to Minnesota to see my dad, stepmom and my sisters. It's super expensive to travel anymore so it's hard to plan trips like that. The 1st two years we were in Colorado and Trapper wasn't alowd to travel because he was outprocessing for his Army retirement. The last 2 years or so we just haven't been able to afford it. This summer we're really hoping to get to Minnesota after the baby is born.
Two: We really miss being in the Army. I miss the whole life style, the bases, seeing soldiers in their uniforms, seeing Army vehicles driving around post. It was a fun life style and something to be extremely proud of.

5 Question Friday
1. What have you done
recently that you are proud of?
I'm working on a cross stitch for my hubby's oldest daughter and I got about a 1/4 of it done in the last week. It's rare that I can get this much done on a cross stitch lol
2. What is your favorite way to work out? Or if you don't
workout, what are you wanting to try?
I love to work out at a fitness center with and mp3 player or radio. If I'm at home I like to exercise with music on.
3. If you knew you best friend was cheating on spouse would
you tell?
Wow, I'm not sure. Until I've been in the situation where I had to make a decision like that I can speculate all day long on what I would do. I don't even think I can give the right decision. Yah I could tell but is that putting my nose where it doesn't belong. I think I would talk to my best friend and tell her she needed to talk to her hubby, be honest and tell him what was going on. If your going to cheat then you should atleast tell your spouse or leave before you cheat, nobody should cheat on their spouse period.
4. If you could afford a live-in maid or nanny, would you
have one?
Nope, neither one is gonna do things the way I want things done, I'm to picky with cleaning and on how I think people should treat my children.
5. Do you stress out about birthdays (specifically the age)
or do you enjoy them?
I enjoy birthdays, why stress out, it's suppose to be a happy, fun day, enjoy it!!
Bonus: Lights off or on?
If we're talking during adult time, lights are usually off, once I get back into shape they they'll by on or candles lit.

Day 18
Day 18: Favorite Place to Eat
This is a toss up between Shari's, IHop and Olive Garden. I love all three of these. We go to any of these restaurants to eat and I'm a happy camper.

Day 17
Day 17: Something you're looking forward to
Three things I'm really looking forward to in the next few months.
One: Really looking forward to getting thing set up for Jace's arrival at the end of May. It's super exciting for us cause even though we have 3 girls between us, Jace will be the 1st and last baby we created between us. Wasn't something we planned but I'm so incredibly happy that it happened. We get to go buy him stuff and get ready for a baby we never thought we'd have.
Two: Looking foward to the arrival of baby Jace :) Can't wait to meet what will surely be Trapper's mini-me :) Super excited for the girls to meet him too cause their all pretty excited, so far lol
Three: The baby shower we plan on having 4th of July weekend. Hopefully my dad and stepmom will be up for this one so they can meet Jace. My mom and sister Michaela will be there, my bestest friend Jane and her family will be up and a good friend of ours Kelly from Canada will be up. Hopefully more family members I don't see often so up that weekend but if not I'm excited to see the people I listed above and can't wait to see them all.
